CrossFit Roux – WOD
It is not happy people who are thankful, but thankful people who are happy.
In May of 2013, Emily and I opened up CrossFit Roux. We started off humbly in a small corner of Playmakers Indoor Soccer facility. We have grown steadily over the years, strengthening not only in numbers but in community through the personality, love, and care of our members.
Some days are hard, but most days I feel like I’m the luckiest person alive.
Some days are long, but most days fly by due to the eagerness and excitement each of you bring to the gym.
I am thankful for many things, but none greater than each of you and what you bring to my life.
I am thankful for my beautiful wife, a unicorn who stands by my side through thick and thin. Most of you would never know, but this gym is where it is today because of everything she does behind the scenes.
I am thankful for my son and the joy he brings to my life.
I am thankful for my family and the support they give me.
I am thankful for my amazing coaching staff. They jump to assist in anyway they can. They love Roux as much as I do, wanting to see that each of you are taken care of. You may not see it all the time, but everything they do on a daily basis is to ensure that you have the best experience possible at Roux, achieving all of your personal goals.
I am thankful to each member who has ever donated time unselfishly to help Roux change for the better and grow. (Dennis Calamusa, this gym wouldn’t be half of what it is, without you.)
I am thankful to each member that has ever walked through that door. Each of you has a special place in my heart whether you were here for a couple wods, or a couple of years. I try to protect what we have here so much, because it is special.
